PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Buy the bundle and save! This packet contains both of my letter E Units. Each unit has different activities and worksheets. One has clip art throughout and the other uses real photos!

In the packet "E is for Elephant", you will find:

This unit is filled with items that will enhance your letter studies,
everything from fun games, “Write the Room”, pocket chart activities, as well things to use for centers all with a fun elephant
and letter E theme!

In this packet you will find 3 different sets of write the room cards, all things that begin with the letter E. You can find and use the one that best fits your needs. You may still find uses for the other sets, for word walls, vocabulary words, pocket chart activities. You will also find a “word bank” with the words. If you put those in page protectors and inside a folder (the version with the brads for holding hole punched pages), you have an “on the go” mini word wall for independent writing or another center!

You will find several different pocket chart activities that can also be used as center activities. . There is a game to help the elephant find /e/ words. Included are also elephant themed word building mats with medial /e/ words. Also, there are elephants (you attach to a popsicle stick) to use for word stretching, counting sounds in words, sounding out and writing CVC words with dry erase boards, or even as story starters!

You will find Quiz, Quiz, Trade cards (and directions for doing this game), I Have Who has, Graphic Organizers, writing paper with and without prompts. You will also find 3 different types of Write the Room answer sheets, worksheets for identifying objects with the beginning sound of /e/, and writing e practice sheets. There is a song sheet with the “sign language” E with a fun song. There is also an emergent reader for words that begin with E.

It is completely common core aligned and covers these standards:

Do your kids love looking at real photos of things? For mine, it is an immediate attention grabber! I designed letter units that use real pictures. I have even included a series of “fact pages” that can be used to do “research” or as an introduction to close reading for the younger kiddos in mind!

In this packet you will find:

-2 different types of “write the room”
-with pictures of things that begin with letter E
-fact sentence scrambles
-fact pages about eagles, elk, elephants, eels, and egrets.
-For each fact page there are 6 associated worksheets: a circle map, a writing prompt, 2 types of fact “recording sheets” and 2 differentiated “draw and label” sheets
-“My Letter E” book that can also be used as wall cards for the letter E
-an “E Words” circle map
-“On the Go” word wall to use at a writing center
-E word vocabulary/word wall/pocket chart cards
-Sorting /e/ mats and sorting cards
-“Roll, Say, Keep” boards and cards
-Tic, Tac, Toe boards and covers
-“Thumbs up/Thumbs down” center cards (listening for beginning sound) with response sheet
-“I Have, Who Has” game
-Pocket chart activity sorting /e/ words
-“Write and Wipe” cards using the vocabulary words (2 types: one with traceable words and another with just writing lines for the children to either copy the word wall or pocket chart vocabulary cards)
