HS EA11 - The Age of Jackson and the Reform Era
This lesson was written as a one week lesson for high school students. The lesson covers Andrew Jackson as a new style of President; the new Democratic Party; political machines and the "spoils system"; the Nullification Crisis; the banking crisis and the Panic of 1837; the Indian Removal Act and the Trail of Tears; The Abolitionists; Women's Rights, and Education reform; the Temperance Movement; religious groups, and the anti-immigration "No Nothing" Party. The lesson includes all of the necessary reading for the assignments, a list of key vocabulary, comprehension questions, and several two short answer essay questions. Each lesson also contains 2 fill-in-the-blank reviews, a lesson quiz, and three graphing activities.
