This fun, informative resource has reading sections for each of 30 nations, plus basic statistics for each nation’s capital and largest city, language(s), currency, and approximate population. The nations are the following:
Australia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ethiopia, France,
Germany, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Iran, Israel, Italy, Japan, Mexico, The Netherlands,
Norway, The Philippines, Poland, Romania, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, The Ukraine, The United Kingdom, The United States
This is not only super for the Easter season but can also be a powerful helper for social studies/geography, reading/literacy, and a general parochial curriculum all year round! If your students spent an hour first reading then doing the activity for each of the 30 nations, then that would be 30 hours. Also, note that words in this can be highlighted then moved about, deleted, fonts varied, text enlarged, etc. Difficult words are also rendered in simple phonetics, for example: “Guadalajara (Gwah-dah-lah-hah-rah).”
Easter Around The World also has a helpful suggestions page regarding the following Common Core State Standards synthesized for grades 5-12 and with primary overlapping:
ELAS.R:IT.1 re support,
ELAS.R:IT.2 re central idea,
ELAS.R:IT.3 introduction of key persons, events, ideas,
ELAS.R:IT.4 meanings of words, phrases...,
ELAS.R:IT.5 how parts fit into overall structure,
ELAS.R:IT.6 author's point of view/purpose,
ELAS.R:IT.7 information in different media/formats,
ELAS.R:IT.8 list and evaluate arguments and claims,
ELAS.R:IT.9 comparing and contrasting events by different authors,
ELAS.R:IT.10 reading with good comprehension.
Next comes a page on how you can easily teach Higher Order Thinking Skills in regard to Easter.
Finally, there is an Easter Vocabulary Sampler that has many key Easter words (and some for spring) in English and Spanish. That makes this product also helpful for any ESL students of Spanish background whom you have now or may have in the future. For example it has words such as: apostle, cross, Easter Sunday, Good Friday, Lent, lily, procession, resurrection, robin, and showers.
So, the price and time for this resource are right, and you will love seeing your kids glad to stay busy as bees enjoying this learning pack a lot, so consider getting it now.

The afore-mentioned do not endorse, sanction or approve this publication or any other publication/s by this author/publisher. Any use of “aligned with,” “aligned to” or the like simply mean in the supportive spirit of and again do not state or imply an endorsement.
