This paid version of the file is an editable version. Want to use three different solfege pitches? Want to change the number of beats on each page? Want to use note names or written solfege names? Each line corresponds to one of three solfege hand signs. I asked students to write on the "Do" line with red, "Mi" line with black, and the "Sol" line with teal. The colors corresponded to boomwhacker colors, except black for "Mi," even though we did not use the boomwhackers.
We did this activity in groups. After everyone was finished, We mixed measures from each group on the board. We reviewed how to perform with the solfege and rhythms available in the activity guidelines, and we were pretty successful when we sang as a class.
I hope this is helpful, especially to anyone in their first year teaching general music. PLEASE e-mail me your measure templates.
