This five page summative algebra assessment is comprised of eight questions based on four levels of Bloom’s Taxonomy and requires solving for one unknown using basic mathematical formulas. The theme is centered on the construction of a house. The student is the building contractor who must make a variety of decisions to correctly solve each portion of this assessment. The students may present the project in two different ways, as a power point or as a written project. It may be given as a final test or as a summative or cumulative project.
