Do you want to try a fishbowl discussion in your class, but don't have the time to learn how or make all the parts that go into preparing it?
This editable template is just what you need. All the directions and prep are ready to go, you just need to customize it with your discussion questions! This teaches students what good conversations look like and sound like, gives visuals for how to set up your room, and helps you learn how to assess a discussion as well. This resource also includes sentence stems and generic exit tickets, as well as guidelines for how "we do discussions" in our class. I've used this with all ages of high school students, but could easily be adapted to younger grades depending on the questions and text you pair it with!

When you are ready to use, MAKE A COPY of this file. ALWAYS keep this file as-is so you can start fresh each time.
Everything is editable. Because this is a powerpoint file, text boxes and images are easy to move. HOWEVER do NOT take your text all the way to the edge of the screen. It will not print. Leave margins as-is. This is set to print on a normal 8.5x11 sheet of printer paper, portrait.
Once you have made your copy of the file, edit that to enter in your lesson’s bellringer, questions, exit ticket, student names, etc. Save, print, enjoy!
