20 question quizzes for every act in Macbeth. It also has a bonus question for each act. All answers are included. I make my students respond fill-in-the-blank style and grade them out of 40 points. I give the quizzes orally so I can clarify any confusion regarding the question. I've found it also cuts down on cheating. Some questions have two responses, so I give them a point for each correct answer. The bonus questions I usually count for two points. By the end of the play, they have 200 points worth of quizzes, so it weighs pretty heavily on the unit. They are simple recall questions to see if they've read. No deep analysis. I've also found that as we go over the quiz, it keeps students up to speed and allows me to go more in depth with what's going on in the story. It's a Word doc, so you can edit any question you'd like. That way you can test things that you may have specifically covered in class.
