Spanish Culture through Music: Lyrics & Activities for Calle 13 "Latinoamérica"
This is an engaging bundle of activities that utilizes multimedia and cultural discussion to bring your students into the language in the very first week of school, or to delve deeper into the Spanish and Latin-American culture during any point of the school year.
The resource includes 9 editable pages. When you download your ready to print PDF, there will be a link on the first page to create your own editable copy within Google Drive TM. All text is editable within Google Drive to customize for your unique class needs!

This can serve as an introduction to the language during the first few days of class, or as a cultural activity at any point during the year.
Students first watch the video (it can be found on youtube and is very visually creative and engaging) and listen to the words of the song. During the second play of the video, students should read along in Spanish/English. Students can then take a few minutes to complete the comprehension questions, and research any of the topics provided. These topics should provide for a varied cultural discussion that promotes acceptance and open-mindedness as well as language learning.
** Please note ** There is no answer key included in this resources as each class discussion will be unique and different, and there is no wrong way to approach this lesson!
