Description
Hot Seat is my most competitive game I play with my students, and they LOVE it! This version is now editable within Google Slides (TM). This game set covers the verb SER, subject pronouns, and common Spanish adjectives / adjective agreement. I love La Silla Caliente because it is a great way to get ALL of my students engaged at the same time, and allows me to formatively assess where every student is individually! This game uses movement to keep students motivated and eager to play :) But you can adjust by passing a "key" item between team members if you don't want movement.
You will download a PDF that contains a link to your own editable copy within Google Drive. There is also now a link to a digital score tracker included - I designed it just for you!

This game of LA SILLA CALIENTE (hot seat!) assesses:
*Subject pronouns and who they refer to (tú, usted, nosotros)
*The verb SER (soy, eres, es)
*adjective agreement (alto vs. altos, etc.)
I love this game because all students play, and all students MATTER!! If you've never played before, directions are on the first slide. Please check out the preview to get a better idea!
The presentation provides 30 question slides, with each answer on the slide immediately following the question. Questions progress through the four categories.
1) The first group of questions provides a situation and asks which subject pronoun is appropriate for each (x5)
2) The second group of questions provides full sentences with a conjugation of the verb SER missing from the sentence (x10)
3) The third group of questions are Spanish sentences with fill-ins, where students change a given adjective to correctly match the subject in the sentence (x10)
4) The final category provides short answer open response questions for students to challenge themselves by constructing simple sentences on their own! (x5)
ANSWERS PROVIDED: the answers are provided in red during the presentation!
This is my most popular game with my high school students. They beg for the competition!
