Subject/Level: Russian, Level 1
Prior Learning: Students have been introduced to school areas, subjects, objects, activities, interrogatives, personal pronouns in the Genitive case, and conjugating first-conjugation verbs in the present tense for all subjects.
Learning Objectives: Students will be able to 1) demonstrate listening and reading comprehension as well as writing ability using school related vocabulary and verbs and 2) self-evaluate areas of weakness prior to assessment.
L1: Demonstrate command of conventions and grammar when writing and speaking.
L2: Demonstrate command of conventions of capitalization, punctuation, and spelling when writing.
L3: Apply knowledge of language functions in order to affect comprehension and expression across contexts.
L5: Demonstrate understanding of figurative expression, word relationships, and nuances in language.
R1: Read closely and state meaning of text. Give specific examples from text to support conclusions.
W2: Write a sequential, organized text to inform.
W10: Write frequently on a variety of topics for a variety of purposes.
