Attached you will find a packet of 8 activities that help students master the ee/ea reading skill. There are multiple versions of some activities so they can be switched out throughout the week!! The poem goes to the tune "The Wheels on the Bus". I make it on large chart paper to sing along with the class! The activities included are:
★ An original ee/ea Poem - Teacher copy (color).
★ An original ee/ea Poem - Students will highlight/circle the ee/ea words.
★ Word Sort - Students sort their highlighted words from the poem onto the word sort page.
★ Draw It! - Students read 9 different words and draw pictures to correlate with each one. (5 DIFFERENT VERSIONS - words tend to get a little harder towards the fifth page)
★ Writing Complete Sentences - Students are given 3 words to write complete sentences using. Students check off the four requirements of their writing at the bottom of each page. (5 DIFFERENT VERSIONS)
★ Building words cards - Student independent center. Students cut apart the pictures and letters to form words on a mat/ their desk. (EE and EA version)
★ Building words cards - Teacher will cut out cards and tell students to make each word. Cards include initial and ending sounds and pictures. (EE and EA version)
★ Spell It! - Worksheets have pictures of words with the correct amount of spaces for the spellings. (EE and EA version) (No Word Box version and Word Box version)
★ Sort It! - Students cut out words, read them, and place them in the correct category on the following page.
