This game is an extremely engaging way to have kids practice "ou", "ee" and "oa" words.
6 sided die
Markers to cover words (coins, chips, unifix cubes, base ten cubes, scraps of paper, etc.)
Player A rolls the die
Player A may choose any open word, underneath the number rolled
Example: student rolls a 5, he/or she must select a word underneath the “5” column.
Player A must correctly read the word chosen. He or she may have two tries)
If a player rolls a “6” he or/she loses a turn
If there are no open sports in the numbered column, the player loses a turn.
Player B rolls the die and completes the same procedure
Play continues until one student gets four in a row.
