This activity is all about learning the line notes of the Treble Clef (EGBDF) while encouraging creative writing and critical thinking skills. Start by telling an old favorite like “Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge” or “Every Good Boy Does Fine.” Then expand out your options. Come up with a new phrase like “Eleven Grey Bats Dove Fast” or “Esperanza Gathered Big Dinosaur Bones.” Show the students their possibilities and then let them make their own sentences!

-Teacher Guide with step-by-step instructions for lesson plan.
-8 student templates for writing an EGBDF story
-3 word banks with nouns, verbs, and descriptive words for the letters E, G, B, D, and F
-2 Example stories with included phrase, story, and picture
-Bulletin Board set-up to display student work once the stories are written
-Title Page and Description page should you want to bind student work into a book once the stories are written
-Printable Notes home for parents explaining the lesson and citing the National Anchor Standards addressed. (Comes full-page or 2 to a page)
