SPRING in to learning with this fun and engaging review game. This is a great activity to do near the Easter holiday. Fill Easter eggs with questions related to your students' learning. Use the attached questions, edit them to fit your needs, or make new ones of your own.
Students work in teams to find one egg at a time. The egg color corresponds to the type of question. Once that question is solved correctly, the team moves on the next color of egg. The first team to solve all types of questions are the winners, but I encourage all my students to finish the challenge. I make sure that plenty of eggs are available. For example, if there are 6 teams I make sure to create 8 of each egg...just in case. This year I am preparing 7 eggs of EACH color.
Since my students are second graders, I hide my eggs in challenging ways around the classroom. I have been doing this review game in my classroom for ten years, and the children love it.
