This document consists of 8 common core aligned kindergarten counting and cardinality activities. They are perfect for stations! See activity list and descriptions below.
-Bee Pollinating Lacing (K.CC.1) This is a lacing activity to help students practice counting by ones and tens to one hundred.
-Hopping Through the Numbers (K.CC.2) This is a dice activity that will help students practice counting forward beginning with a number.
-How many are on the farm mini book? (K.CC.3/K.CC.5) This is a mini book to help students count "how many" objects there are in a line, rectangular array, circle, and scattered. After counting, students will be able to practice writing the number for the amount of objects they counted.
-Candy Cover All (K.CC.4ab) This activity will help students say number names while pairing the number with the number of candies in the bag. They will learn that the last number named is the total number of objects.
-Finish the Picture (K.CC.4c) Calling all artists! This activity will allow your students to be creative while learning that when you add one more, the number shown is the next successive number.
-Ocean and Arctic Search and Count (K.CC.5) Search and count the objects in the ocean and arctic scenes. Write the number of objects counted on the recording sheet.
-Lunch with Alligator (K.CC.6) Compare the number of objects in alligator's blue lunch box with the number of objects in the purple lunch box. Determine if the objects in the blue lunch box are greater than, less than or equal to the number of objects in his purple lunch box and circle the correct symbol. Use the the sentence frames for journaling.
-Robot Compare the Numbers (K.CC.7) Students will learn to compare written numbers with this fun robot themed activity!
