You know you've got those same kiddos who finish early before everyone else even reads the directions!!! These early finisher ELA activities can be used with any unit or topic. Are you ready to give your students more meaningful ELA activities when they finish early? No more "read a book" or "go help so and so."
Organization of early finisher activities
I created these ELA activities pack a few years ago to solve this problem. I keep the printables in a sterilite clear container. I attach a label {included} so students know what's inside the container. They take the entire box to their seat and work on the activity. In my class, only 2 students per box. This is great because it gives them choice and freedom.
Year after year, other teachers and principals are so impressed that my students are trained little workers and know exactly what to do when they're finished with their work early. No more interruptions during Guided Reading {woo hoo}!
