- Sensory Language
- Figurative Language
- Comparative and Superlative Adjectives
- Sentence or Fragment?
- Characterization (Direct and Indirect)
- Simple Sentences
- Traditional Literature
- Prepositional Phrases
- Appositive Phrases
- Main Idea
- Coordinating Conjunctions
- Compound Sentences
- Expository Text Structures
- Compound Sentence 2.0
**I will be creating another Digital Interactive Notebook for next semester that will include, but are not limited to, slides over Persuasive Techniques, Making Connections across Genres, Subordinating Conjunctions, Commonly Confused Words, Comma Rules, Complex Sentences. Be on the look out for that!
How I used this in my classroom:
The students completed their DIN homework the week before we begin to work with the concepts in class. Students completed at least one grammar slide and one reading concept slide each week. The next week when they came into class they knew their vocabulary and were ready to dive into texts.
I posted our DIN as an assignment in the Google Classroom. Each student had their own copy and added to it weekly. They did not press “turn in” until they had filled out the entire DIN.
