This product is appropriate for morning work, homework, and for reviewing and assessing this skill.
Part A is a matching activity. Students match the kind of sentence with its short definition:
There are four kinds of sentences in the left column, and their four short definitions in the right column.
Students then read the beginning of a short story. There are sentences underlined. Students tell what kind of sentence it is (declarative, interrogative, imperative, exclamatory) and rewrite that sentence on the line with its correct end-of-sentence punctuation.
Students then have lines to finish the story.
