This assessment is designed to assess student ability to recognize and analyze differing points of view and accounts of the same topic. Students read and answer PARCC-like questions about two articles on school uniforms, one from a parent perspective and the other from a student perspective. Students then have to complete a chart that asks them to identify specific passages from the text that help them better understand each person's perspective. Finally, students much watch a video interview with two ladies, each of whom has a different opinion on school uniforms. They must use information from the articles and the video to support a claim about school uniforms.
