The English Language Arts PowerPoint Workbook was designed to be used at the end of the school day. That is why I use the word sunset. All teachers need uninterrupted time to complete important tasks while students are working on ELA skills.
So, during your sunset time, just upload the PowerPoint workbook and select an exercise for your students to complete. You do not have to go in order. Depending on how much time you need, that's how you make your selection. No hard copy workbooks, just pencil and paper or an ELA notebook. Pretty cool, huh!
Wait! There's more. These lessons cover punctuation, homophones, descriptive writing, parts of speech, persuasive writing, spelling, dictionary skills, creative writing, and idiomatic expressions. I designed the lessons in a way that will keep their minds refreshed. The more opportunities students have to practice applying ELA skills, the more opportunities students have to become high achievers in reading and writing and other components of language arts.
Don't worry about running out of lessons for sunset time. This is Sunset number one. Number two is available.
To implement each lesson, introduce the topic and go over directions with students. Inform them of their time limit. I suggest from 15 minutes on up. At the end of your time limit, you can choose to go over the lesson you selected or wait until the next day.
I suggest using the ELA Sunset PowerPoint Workbook once or twice a week. This is a great tool to utilize when you really need time to correct papers, plan lessons, change bulletin boards, write notes to parents, prepare for teacher conference and, as you know, the list goes on and on.
The ELA Sunset PowerPoint Workbook benefits both the student and teacher. The students get a chance to work on important ELA skills, and the teachers can unwind for a few moments and work on things that they just might not want to take home.
Enjoy your sunset moment.
With you in mind,
