This resource includes a practice standardized test written in FSA style (similar to AIR). It is written to meet third grade reading and language standards/benchmarks.

Passages are written on a third grade reading level (estimated.) It includes paired texts for both literature (narrative and poem) and informational (essay and brochure) reading.

It also includes a page for grammar questions written in FSA style, where there is a short text with the grammar underlined and the questions below.

This resource includes different test question formats:

  • Selectable Text
  • Table Match
  • EBSR (Evidence-Based Selected Response)
  • Multiselect
  • Editing Task Choice
  • Multiple Choice

This review includes:

- 2 literature (fiction) passages

- 2 informational (nonfiction) passages

- 12 reading comprehension questions written in testing format

- 3 grammar questions written in testing format

- complete answer key

The passages are written to have a related topic or theme.

The skills covered in this resource are from the 3rd grade Common Core or Florida ELA Standards. If your state standards are based on the Common Core, this product will most likely align with your standards.

Questions are written in FSA format. The FSA standardized test is similar to AIR, although not exactly the same.

This practice test is different from the ELA Test Prep Practice Test Volume 2. This is a second test for teachers who would like more practice resources or different texts.
