This center game focuses students on question reading and understanding what ELA questions are actually asking students to do by using the game, TROUBLE.
Students will look at four questions, determine which question doesn’t fit with the others and verbalize what the majority of questions are asking them to do. This task helps students to better understand the language of test questions and focuses them on looking for the correct answer.
The student directions are incredibly clear; they cover everything from who goes first in the game to what to do if your group has five people instead of four. This center requires a just bit more prep than the other centers, but the prep is just printing, cutting and taping. Once the center is made and delivered to students, it's a hands off center for the teacher that can be used year after year.
