Light A Fire in students' willingness to read, analyze primary source documents, and work as a team. This Civil War Gettysburg Address activity is differentiated based on reading levels to help all students understand Abraham Lincoln's speech. During this activity students will work independently, in small groups, and with the teachers as a whole class. Opportunities for movement are built in to this active reading technique. Although the Gettysburg Address is my chosen document for this product, the technique shared here may be used for other documents. This MS Word document may also be modified to easily adapt to other documents as well. Enjoy.
