MAKING A TIME LINE of your life
(Asking Questions in the Past and Future Tenses)
Everyone has a personal timeline that began the moment they were born. This timeline consists of the pleasant and painful experiences we have had. Putting this timeline on paper is an excellent way for students to remember important events in their lives while also practicing speaking.
This is an activity plan where students are asked to make a personal timeline of the major events in their lives. They will also expand their timelines and predict when the most important events will happen to them in the future. Timelines will be compiled and presented in groups other students will learn and practice how to ask and answer questions naturally in the past and future tenses using these timelines
I have taught ESL and Language Arts for over 20 years and this is one of the most successful ESL activities that I have ever done. My students love it and always ask to do other lessons like this. This lesson is presented in both Word and PDF formats
