Our school has purchased the latest edition of Everyday Math (2015) and I am in the process of creating all the resources that I have found, created, and used in previous years so that they align with the new curriculum. This study guide is 100% Common Core aligned.
This Unit 4 Study Guide can either be used to study for the test or at the beginning of the unit as a pre-assessment. I use them as the 5th, 15th, 25th, and 35th Week Assessments (aka Mid Term) that is required at my school. Since the Study Guides are directly aligned to the Standards, they can also be used as a diagnostic tool. I use them along with the Unit Progress Check Class Checklist from the Everyday Math Assessment Handbook. Since each question in the Study Guide (and subsequent End-of-Unit Assessment) correlates to a specific standard--and sometimes two specific standards--I can grade each student according to the standard. Then use the Class Checklist to group according to strengths and weaknesses and apply support or enrichment accordingly.
The problems are exactly like the ones that are on the Everyday Math 4 Unit 4 Assessment, but with different values.
STANDARDS THAT ARE ASSESSED:
--Mulitstep Number Stories (4.OA.3)
--Add & Subtract Multidigit Whole Numbers (4.NBT.4)
--Multiplying Mulitdigit Numbers & Extended Multiplication (4.NBT.5)
--Decimal Notation and Conversion (4.NF.6)
--Convert between Units (4.MD.1)
Unit 4 Cumulative Assessment and Subsequent Units are forthcoming, so Follow Me so you don't miss out!
