This EMOJI Activity is part of:
2017 Google Interactive Membership {GROWING BUNDLE} - Current & Future Products

This ❤ Google Interactive Activity ❤ is an engaging practice of "Multiplying & Dividing Radicals by Monomials with Variables". This is a BLENDED Activity where a hard copy(which is sold separately at my store here) of the activity is also included.

✐ This product is a NO PREP - SELF CHECKING activity that engage students in 12 questions on "Multiplying & Dividing Radicals by Monomials with Variables".

There are Two versions in this activity (Same Set of Questions)
☑ Version 1: Answers will include the absolute value as needed
☑ Version 2: Answers will be written without the absolute value

This activity has:
☑ 6 Questions on Multiplying Radicals (See below for more details)
☑ 6 Questions on Dividing Radicals (See below for more details)

In Multiplying Radicals, students would need to feel comfortable with:
☑ Multiplying Monomial Radicals (any Index with and without a coefficient)
☑ Multiplying a Monomial by a Binomial (If you're interested in multiplying a Binomial by a Binomial, check out this activity)
☑ Simplifying Variables (Need to use Absolute Value in Version 1)

In Dividing Radicals, students would need to feel comfortable with:
☑ Dividing Monomial by Monomial Radicals (any Index with and without a coefficient)
☑ Dividing Binomial by Monomial
☑ Simplifying Variables
☑ The need to rationalize a Monomial Denominator
☑ ☑ Please note that the denominator is always a monomial in this activity ☑ ☑

Students need to feel comfortable with:
☑ Identify the Prime Factors of any base (numerical)
☑ The rule of the index of the radical in simplifying

There is no need to combine like radicals in this activity

Students would need to solve the mystery Emoji by following the color key.

My students are fascinated with an additional coloring option that I have included where they could pick their own colors. They have become very very creative. I am including this option in this emoji and I truly hope that your kids will love it as much as mine have.

Please, take a look at the PREVIEW before purchasing to make sure that this creative activity meets your expectations. After seeing the preview, If you would like to modify it in any way, please don't hesitate to contact me via Q and A. I will update and include a second version in this product JUST FOR YOU ☻

In the Google Interactive portion of the activity students will be using Google Slides. Some students used their computers, some used their phones, while others used their IPADs. As long as there is a Google Drive there is a way.

This activity includes the followings:
☑ Instructions on how to obtain the Google Interactive Activity
☑ Instructions on how to perform the activity (with pictures)
☑ 1 Activities
☑ A detailed illustrated examples
☑ Answer Key
☑ Hard Copy of the Activity

I use Algebra II Common Core Pearson Textbook. This activity works very well with Section 6.2: Multiplying & Dividing Radical Expressions

✶ ✶ ✶ My students truly were ENGAGED answering the questions and had a BLAST COLORING and finding the mystery picture much better than the textbook problems.✶ ✶ ✶

This RELAXING EMOJI could be used in: math centers, group work, a way to check for understanding, a review, recap of the lesson, pair-share, cooperative learning, exit ticket, entrance ticket, homework, individual practice, when you have time left at the end of a period, beginning of the period (as a warm up or bell work), before a quiz on the topic, substitute planning, and more.
