✐ This product is a NO PREP - SELF CHECKING activity that engage students in"Predicting type of Solutions of Quadratic Equations". Students will work with 12 Questions where students have to determine whether the given quadratic equation has real solution(s) or not.

This EMOJI requires students to have a mastery of:
☑ Setting a Quadratic Equation in Standard Form ax² + bx + c
☑ Identify: a, b, and c = 0
☑ Evaluate the Discriminant: b² − 4 ac
☑ Understanding the relationship between the value of the discriminant (positive vs. negative) and the possibility of having vs. not having a solution.
☑ Determining ALGEBRAICALLY whether the given Quadratic Equation has REAL Solution(s) or not

Each of the questions will be answered with either "NO REAL SOLUTIONS" or "HAS REAL SOLUTIONS". Please take a look at the icons above for an idea about the nature of the questions and the expected answers.

In the directions students are asked to approach these questions ALGEBRAICALLY. Students were not told directly to use the discriminant. The students would need to realize that the value of the Discriminant is enough to answer this type of questions.

You could ask students to use DESMOS to check their answers or even come up with the answer (if you wish).
