☑ Evaluate the function at a given input (depending on the application)
Interpreting the "ZEROES" of quadratic functions is not part of this activity. It only focuses on the elements above. Students work with the vertex a lot, hopefully this will connect the dots for them and help them become better in making a connection with real life applications.
Students may answer this activity using the AOS formula and go from there, or may use a GRAPHING CALCULATOR
approach. It is really up to you.
Students would need to solve the mystery Emoji by following the color key.
My students are fascinated with an additional coloring option that I have included where they could pick their own 4 colors. They have become very very creative. I am including this option in this emoji and I truly hope that your kids will love it as much as mine have.
