✐ This product is a NO PREP - SELF CHECKING
activity that engage students in 12 questions on "Solving Quadratic Equations"
using a specified technique. The following strategies are assessed in this activity:
☑ Solve by Graphing (2 Questions) - A graph is already given and students would need to identify the solutions
☑ Solve by Factoring (4 Questions) - One question is already factor and students would need to identify the solutions. Three questions (Trinomials) would need to be factored out.
☑ Solve using the Square Root - (3 Questions). One question will result in 2 rational roots, another in 2 irrational roots, while the third one will result in 2 complex roots
☑ Solve by the Quadratic Formula (2 Questions). Both questions will result in Complex Roots
☑ One question will ask students to solve using any technique. The question could be solved by factoring.
I like to give this activity to my students after completing these techniques and help them have mastery of each of the technique before taking a major assessment.
Students would need to solve the mystery Emoji by following the color key.
My students are fascinated with an additional coloring option that I have included where they could pick their own colors. They have become very very creative. I am including this option in this emoji and I truly hope that your kids will love it as much as mine have.
