is an engaging practice of working with "The Remainder Theorem"
. This is a BLENDED
Activity where a hard copy (which is sold separately at my store here)
of the activity is also included.
This EMOJI focuses only on evaluating
a given polynomial function at a given value using Synthetic Division
and the Remainder Theorem
I created this activity to help my students understand the importance of the "Remainder Theorem"
and its meaning . The goal behind this activity is to help students use the definition of the Remainder Theorem which is:
If a polynomial f(x) is divided by (x−k), then the remainder isr=f(k)
Students would need to solve the mystery Emoji by following the color key.
My students are fascinated with an additional coloring option that I have included where they could pick their own colors. They have become very very creative. I am including this option in this emoji and I truly hope that your kids will love it as much as mine have.

math centers, group work, a way to check for understanding, a review, recap of the lesson, pair-share, cooperative learning, exit ticket, entrance ticket, homework, individual practice, when you have time left at the end of a period, beginning of the period (as a warm up or bell work), before a quiz on the topic, substitute planning, and more.
