This (232 pages) English curriculum bundle is designed specifically to focus on getting your students on task, and immediately productive at the start of each and every class period. This bundle offers TEN full weeks of various bell ringer/bell work activities that help to improve ISTEP and ECA testing scores.
Students will review previous grade-level content, while working towards mastering current grade-level content. To that end, students pursue a concentrated study of the writing process, essay genres, close reading of fiction and non-fiction, research skills and correctness to demonstrate achievement on the skills required to pass ISTEP/ECA testing. Where available, students learn to use visual aide to support production of text, correctness, and research reading and writing. Each bell ringer/bell work in this curriculum has been designed for an specific agenda.

-Paragraph Graphic Organizers;
-Vocabulary Graphic Organizers;
-Vocabulary Review Activities
- Independent reading passages with comprehension questions (Nonfiction/Fiction/Poems/Articles)
-Literary terms (Provided with YouTube Links)/Literary Term Activities (Text Structure, Plot, Main Idea, Theme, Inference, Making Predictions, Understanding Characters-Indirect Characterization-Direct Characterization-Dynamic-Round-Static-Flat, Fact/Opinion, Summarization, Compare/Contrast
