ENTREPRENEURSHIP (Part 2 BUNDLE) "Expanding the CORE Part 1 Business" - provides students with an opportunity to expand their business and newly acquired entrepreneurial skills (that they develop in the Part 1 CORE Business Concept Model program) and add TEAM BUSINESSES to the mix. At this point students not only have the opportunity to run the CORE business but also individual TEAM BUSINESSES (4-5 members per team) as well. They experience first-hand what our American free enterprise system is all about - competition. They enjoy being able to compete with one another which creates a spirit of competition as they earn higher profits. YOU HAVE A DECISION TO MAKE HERE . . . You may feel the need to "get your feet wet" by introducing Part 1 to the students first (on the first round - semester or year) and then implement Part 2 a little later. If you have had more experience in creating businesses of your own, you likely have the background and drive to implement both Parts immediately. If so, this means that will you will need the BUNDLED versions of both manuals to set up this capstone course for your students - that decision is strictly yours to make. Very few of the items included in Part 1 are here in Part 2. When implementing Part 2, you need to determine how to schedule the student's week so that a certain amount of time is designated for the CORE business and the other time for the TEAM BUSINESSES. Check out the PREVIEW to review some of the forms, etc. that are included in this section and do the same for Part 1. We have purposely broken the BUNDLED version of MBA Part 2 out into four different sections to accommodate the needs of our purchasers who prefer buying a parcel at a time (perhaps a section each month) so it is more affordable -- and we totally understand that because we are teachers too. Please note that each section is a part of the whole. If you have questions about either of the Parts, we encourage you to get in touch with us here in our store under the caption "Ask a Question." We would love to hear from you and address your concerns prior to a purchase.
Have you already implemented the MBA Part 1 entrepreneurship program (CORE business) and are you now looking to expand and enhance the experiences of your students as they create – operate – manage – market – and GROW by adding TEAM BUSINESSES to the mix? Are you interested in a capstone course – one that is a proven PROGRAM BUILDER and which starts the moment students sign up for beginning/basic courses in your existing program?
HISTORY & DETAILS ABOUT PART 2:
MBA PART 2 is a more Advanced Level Entrepreneurial Experience for students that will enhance your CTE program and what you may have implemented in MBA PART 1.
The acronym "MBA"
represents three major factions of establishing any school discipline student business: MARKETING
the business, creating/operating/(and in this case) liquidating a BUSINESS
at the end of a specified timeframe, and handling the ACCOUNTING
functions (financing the business). However, you have the option to rename your course to whatever fits your needs - it doesn't have to be "MBA".
The all-inclusive materials, samples, instructional tools, assessments, standards to be addressed and supported, E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G
you need for instructional success, is all in place – YOU do the teaching and Education: Get Real!!!
provides you with the “essentials.” You will serve as a facilitator and oversee the general operation and decisions made by the students in the operation of their business. You will incorporate a variety of instructional strategies (while addressing the National Standards) that can be incorporated into almost any CTE class or interdisciplinary setting (Business, Marketing, Art, Consumer & Family Studies, Economics, etc.). The amount of time you can devote to this unit/course depends upon your schedule and content taught. Students invest their time, energy, expertise, and $$$’s (they buy stock) in the business – decide on a product or product line – make management/operational decisions – operate and manage the business – and liquidate the business at the end of the allotted time. This is an experience that they will never forget since it mimics what they will one day encounter in the “Real World.” MBA
provides students with learning experiences forever etched in their minds and they develop invaluable entrepreneurship skill sets that will last them a lifetime.
In MBA Part 2
students take on leadership roles of: CEO, CFO, and Vice Presidents of six divisions in the CORE business – Marketing, Finance, Production, Human Resources, and two more divisions are added: Public Relations/Legal Authority and Research and Development. Students create/operate/manage/liquidate a “CORE”
(basic) business plus they have the opportunity to compete with other TEAM BUSINESSES -- that's what capitalism is all about! Part 2
is available in this BUNDLED form or it can be purchased in 4 Sections.
Look closely at the PREVIEW for more details as to what is included in Part 2.
