Product Description
These "pinch cards" can be used by students so they can silently indicate when they are confused. I'm going to put each kind of signal on card stock (the STOP card on red, the SLOW DOWN on yellow, and the KEEP GOING on green), laminate them, and put one of each card on a binder ring so each student will be able to keep the cards together. If our math class (or any other class) is working on something and a student is getting lost, he/she just has to flip to the appropriate card and leave it somewhere visible on his/her desk. I'm hoping this will make student more willing to admit they need help since, in my experience, students in the intermediate grades (fourth and fifth) are particularly reluctant to admit in front of the class that they're confused or to ask for help.
