In this activity, students are given a sentence in English to translate to French. Each problem also has "stepping blocks" given to aid them in the process. Before translating, students need to identify the subject and then the verb in the infinitive. This helps students who often confuse sentences like "He is studying". They recognize that the action is studying, not being. An example is also given. The verbs used here are etre and ER verbs. This is a great French 1 activity for students who are having trouble with verbs.
