This spooktacular adventure begins when your students receive a mysterious invitation to a local haunted house. Once there, they will find out they cannot leave until they use their "smart kid brains" to help their hosts solve a ghastly ghost problem.
The fun will begin with a spooky PowerPoint Show/Film. Then, using critical thinking, problem-solving, and reading comprehension, kids will have to follow directions carefully. They will complete creative CHARACTERIZATION, OBSERVATION, and RIDDLE challenges. Each challenge brings kids closer to exactly what they need to escape.
=======WHAT IS INCLUDED?=======
♦ At-a-glance instructions for EASY set-up and organization.
♦ FOUR possible solutions, so if you have more than one class, you'll have no problem with kids telling others the answer.
♦ Instructional reference information bookmarks on characterization
, that students can use LONG after they have escaped the haunted house!
♦ At-a-glance answers.
♦ Exit slips.
♦ Awards to celebrate a successful escape.
=======WHAT DO I HAVE TO SUPPLY?=======
All that is needed is a printer (color optional but adds a nice touch), a few envelopes, folders, and paper or cardstock. Unlike other breakout activities, you don't have to go out and buy expensive locks and boxes, because we've included everything you need to print and go!
=======WHAT MAKES THIS SPECIAL?=======
The storyline is interactive and immersive. YOUR students are directly involved in the story. It will provide you with a perfect opportunity to observe your students problem solving and working as a team. All of our escape resources are also great to use for an observation.
=======HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?=======
Completing the entire escape can take anywhere from 35-45 minutes, depending on how quickly the class is able to complete the activities. Students will not have to leave the room. This is NOT a scavenger hunt.
Have fun and be sure to come back for more ESCAPE ROOM challenges!
