These game cards offer 96 verbs commonly used in business. For English language learners interested in learning or practicing new business vocabulary while reviewing verb tenses, you can substitute these for the Verb Tense cards in the Verb Tense Practice Card Game.
You can use the Business Verb cards alone to play a “Password” type game. Place the pile of Business Verb cards face down. Then you and the student take turns choosing a card and trying to get the other to say the word on the card. You can give a definition or use it in a sentence, leaving the actual word out. For example, if you choose the word “advertise,” you might say, “If you want more customers you have to __________.” This is a fun activity for when you have ten minutes or so left at the end of the lesson, and you want to wind down, while still practicing the language.
I love feedback, and would appreciate hearing what you and your students think about this game. I hope you enjoy it.
