Letter to Teachers:
Our English Language Learners are preparing
to take the ACCESS for ELs assessment soon.
This is an annual assessment that tests ELs
ability to listen, speak, read, and write in English.
Students will be tested in small groups, pairs, or
individually, depending on the needs of the
students and available time in the schedule.
Students are tested using four separate
assessments in listening, speaking, reading, and
writing. Each assessment takes between 30
minutes and 1 hour.
This assessment is given to all current ELs
enrolled in our school. This assessment is not
given to monitored students or to former ELs.
The results of this assessment will be sent to
our school later this year. The ESL teacher will
provide you with the results after they are
delivered to the school.
Please wish our students luck in their
assessment and let them know you are
thinking about them!
