Use these ESL activities with your English Language Learners or Special ED students to provide learner centered role playing activities designed to improve listening, speaking, reading & writing skills. Whether you use the cards and activities in your literacy class for identifying character traits or to enhance vocabulary, they are sure to increase student engagement. Couple this with Vocabulary Choice Board or Flip Books and help your students have fun while learning.

You will receive 32 color picture character cards plus several blank cards that you or your students can use to invent their own characters. You also receive differentiated activities for listening, speaking, reading, and writing as well as a Teacher’s Guide to help you plan your activities and lessons.

• “Blue Mountain Mingle” (Role Play where students mingle at a “party” and gather information about different characters) – This is a differentiated activity
• “Find Someone Who…” (students find characters based on certain criteria – ie: Find someone who is from Mexico)
