Day/ Lesson 1: Teacher goes over notes. Students practice "there is" and there are" with singular and plural items in a park by learning vocabulary and speaking with sentence stems through animated slides. Then students label a picture of a park and answer questions about the park using "there is" and "there are."
Day 2/Lesson 2: Students work in groups and label rooms in a home. Then, they work together to write as many sentences about the rooms as possible in a timed game that gets everyone writing.
Day 3/Lesson 3: Introduce prepositions on place with a few videos. Return to rooms in a home and complete worksheets with mixed practice on "there is" and "there are" as well as using prepositions of place.
All lessons easily modified through PowerPoint to accommodate your students' needs.
