5-7 days worth of activities that use a scaffold approach to teaching simple present.
Days 1-2: Interactive video notes, Kahoot Game, Bingo Game, Looping activity (if you don't know what "looping" is, check it out! My students love this activity!
Day 3: Foldable notes for present tense positive. Also animated notes. 3 worksheets.
Day 4: Foldable notes build on for present tense negative. 2 worksheets and then 15 slides that elicit student speaking in both positive and negative form with animated words and pictures.
Day 5: Foldable notes build on for present tense questions. Class activity with manipulative that gets students speaking and asking peers questions.
Day 6: More speaking using both positive and negatives with a focus on jobs. Students also work in pairs to create sentences and share them with the class. Focus on word order in English and new vocabulary!
Day 7: Gallery walk with jobs. Students mix in all they have learned using "be" and the simple present tense. A Kahoot review game of simple present also available.
