Description

Thanks for browsing here. This is Unit 8 in an 11 unit curriculum. It covers almost 80 vocabulary words relating to the body, illnesses, and injuries. There are three different flashcard sets. You begin with “face” words followed by “body” and “illnesses & Injury” words. Each set of flashcards comes with several worksheets and activities to practice both the vocabulary and grammar concepts. There are several digital games that practice vocabulary and grammar as well. This unit takes about six weeks with 80 minute block periods, but you can easily manipulate it to fit your needs. There are three summative assessments to go with each flashcard set. By the end of this unit, your ELs will be talking all about their bodies and how they are feeling. It’s very fun to see the growth from start to finish. The digital resources are compatible with Google Classroom.

This unit reviews prepositions, placing adjectives before nouns, and the verb “has.” It introduces possessive adjectives, articles, the writing and pronunciation rules of plural nouns, irregular adjectives (good/bad), and the past progressive tense
