Vocabulary worksheet containing famous landmarks. It has two sections: Match words and pictures (matching exercise) and Write the Words (opinion exercise/favorite landmarks).
This worksheet can either be used as a full mini-lesson, or as a starter/filler. Duration can vary from anywhere between 10 minutes to 2 hours. You can let students talk about their holidays, the landmarks they have visited or would like to visit; have them write a short description of a landmark.
Tip: Let students write about a landmark without mentioning the name. After they have finished, they read their description and the class can guess what it is. This can also be done as group work or pair work.
This worksheet can be used with both children, teenagers and adults (depending on their level).
THIS WORKSHEET IS FULLY EDITABLE (.DOC format), so you can adapt it to your personal needs.
