Description

This five part course allows day care workers and au pair to learn the English they need to know to be successful.

Part 1: Daycare Vocabulary
Students learn the basic words that they will need to work with young children i.e. diaper and bottle. They also learn some common verbs i.e. play, bring.

Part 2: Making Requests
Students learn how to request items. They practice role plays asking for items and requesting parents bring items in from home.

Part 3: What to Say at Drop-Off and Pick-Up
Students re-enforce learning how to tell parents about what to bring in and learn how to tell parents briefly about their day.

Part 4: Explaining Incidents
Students learn to talk to parents about problems the child had. They practice role plays describing behavior, injury and other incidents.

Part 5: Final: Role Play
Students practice all the skills that they learned in the class by doing role plays for various tasks.
