This is a lesson for ESL students learning past continuous. It starts with the difference between simple past and past continuous. Animated notes give the conjugation of the past continuous.
Students then practice choosing either was or were and then practicing writing the past continuous through fill in the blank.
Next, looking at pictures of the Simpsons, students create sentences that describe what they were doing yesterday. Students then create sentences of their own about what they were doing last weekend.
Finally, students practice speaking through animated slides.
