This resource includes a dozen two-page writing prompts (using photos in the public domain) for high-beginner and intermediate English Language Learners.
There are two worksheets per photo (24 in total) - each gives the student an opportunity to express themselves in writing about what they see in the images and how they may relate to their own lives. Each activity gives the teacher lots of scope for instruction and review.
The first page of each activity includes specific questions about the photo, a short grammar exercise that range from using adverbs, adjectives, prepositions, to Vocabulary and the use of appropriate expressions in different situations.
Unlike many photo prompt products, this set of activities allows working together as a class and/or working with partners to share ideas. The second page of each of the twelve pairs is designed so that students can practice “reported speech”, i.e. to record what their classmates say about the photos.
I have included the URLs for each photo used – you may want to use the image there if you have a projection system or students have access to computers or tablets. All of the photos are from wiki.commons.org and are in the public domain.
There is no answer key with this product as all answers are subjective.
