This lesson plan is specifically designed for classroom teachers who have ESL /ELL students that are new to the U.S. or have been here for about one or less than two years and still need extra support (picture, songs, movement etc.) to show understanding of science content. There are many activities that can be done independently. This lesson covers the content for the water cycle including types of precipitation and ground water. You will find content material for note cards, a song with movement about the water cycle, a book for the students to make about the types of precipitation, study guides, tests, and answer keys. There are two levels of language development for the books made by the students, study guides and tests. Parts of this lesson can also be beneficial for regular education students.
