Transform your classroom environment by building relationships and letting your students be a part of the "rules" conversation! Start your year by talking about what helps them learn in the classroom and what hurts their learning. The students begin to discuss what behaviors are unwanted in the classroom either in groups with sticky notes, independently or in a whole group setting.
This graphic organizer should be filled with at least one response from each student in each poster, that's why it'd be best to let the students use sticky notes in groups to discuss behaviors and choose one for each category. From this completed graphic organizer, the teacher reads wanted and unwanted behaviors and adds them to a large anchor chart titled "ESSENTIAL AGREEMENTS" with the words used in the presentation.
The essential agreements become how you ALL agree to act in the class! Have the students sign all over your anchor chart as an official document and they take ownership of it all year long! They even remind their friends of the document if needed ;)
Thank you for purchasing and happy teaching!
