A four-step approach to EV3 program creation, testing, and modification is applied to the forty simple programs available within the $100 LEGO EV3 software. This PowerPoint presentation provides images for all forty programs, and could help level 4, 5, 6, and 7 students make the transition from NXT 2.0 to EV3 programming.
You are shown where to locate 25 “Basics” programs; 11 “Hardware” programs; 4 “Model Core Set” programs; 6 “Model Expansion” programs; as well as Help descriptions for the 7 action blocks, 5 flow blocks, 11 sensor blocks, 10 data blocks and 9 advanced blocks;
The EV3 program blocks are different from the corresponding NXT 2.0 program blocks. Each NXT 2.0 program block has both an icon and a separate “configuration panel”, whereas each EV3 program block incorporates both the icon and the “configuration panel” into a single, more-elaborate icon.
