Students are on a mission to award one of the South Carolina explorers for their accomplishments. Students will use and acroynm for the word EXTREME to determine which explorer best qualifies for the award. A writing web allows students to brainstorm ideas about why this explorer shouhld win the award. Templates are also provided for the students to create an award and writing a brief informational piece to explain why the explorer is receiving the award. Rubrics/Checklists are included for Social Studies, Writing, and Speaking and Listening.
