PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This is a set of 2 singing stories and 1 song for improvisation. These resources and more are also available on MySongFile.com.au
DIDDLE DUM
• The vibrant and funny illustrations for this song really appeal to kids.
• The melody for this 'singing story' is very easy to learn.
• "Diddle Dum" is a fun song for practising rhymes.
• This song can be used for word improvisation.
• This song can also be used as an "accumulative" song with students needing to improvise each new verse and then remember each of the verses that have been sung before. (Kids love this challenge!)
I LOVE THE ALPHABET
• "I Love the Alphabet" is a fun singing story for learning and practising the alphabet.
• Each letter is featured with a cartoon animal starting with that letter.
• The melody is very easy to learn.
• Children will love the syncopated rhythms in the chorus.
• There is a 'black line master' as well as a colour version of the same song. The black line master is designed for students to colour in to make their own version of the singing story. (This can be a useful activity for students who finish their other work early.)
• Modulations throughout the song add melodic interest, however, the song can be kept in the same key if desired.
I SPY
• "I Spy" is a fun singing game for students to practise improvisation.
• This song is a great way to reinforce the learning of the alphabet, colours, shapes, sizes and opposites!
• This song also encourages individual singing in a non-threatening environment!
• A great song to prepare and practise the melodic element "re" and the rhythmic element "syn-co-pa".
• This song is also useful for practise swapping between singing and speaking voices.
